Choosing the Right Concrete Equipment for Your Project

Selecting the proper tools is the difference between a professional finish and a costly mistake. When planning your concrete project, consider the three main phases of the job:

1. Surface Preparation & Demolition

Before new concrete can be poured, old surfaces often need to be removed or leveled. Our Edco Scarifiers and Floor Planers are designed to "bite" into the concrete, removing high spots or preparing the surface for overlays. For demolition, our 55lb electric breakers provide the impact force of a pneumatic jackhammer with the convenience of a standard 120V outlet.

2. The Perfect Pour: Leveling and Screeding

Timing is everything once the truck arrives. Using a Screed Demon power screed allows a single operator to strike off concrete faster and more accurately than manual board methods. This ensures the aggregate is properly consolidated and the surface is perfectly flat before the bleed water rises.

3. Precision Cutting and Expansion Joints

To prevent random cracking, expansion joints must be cut at precise intervals. We offer both walk-behind saws for long, straight runs and handheld cut-off saws for tight spaces and vertical cuts. Our Husqvarna saws are compatible with various diamond blades, allowing for clean cuts through green concrete or fully cured slabs.
